Croatian New Yorker Club Picnic 2010
Sunday, December 13th

The Croatian New Yorker Club had another successful summer picnic this year on Sunday August 8th. The picnic was held once again at Centerport Beach, located on the North Shore of Long Island. The weather was just perfect for a summer day, warm, sunny, good beach weather. The turn out was great!

People went swimming, played buce (bocce) and had a good chance to catch up with old friends and relatives, and to make new friends, too!

The food was certainly the highlight as it always is! Fresh picked jubilee corn from Delea Farm in East Northport, Littleneck clams from Great South Bay, Cevapcici from Sunnyside Meat Market in Queens, pork chops, chicken, ribs, kobasi and sauerkraut from the Polish Deli in Yonkers, blitva s kupirom, hamburgers, hot dogs, pastries, salads... and all the rest of it! As ususal, no on went home hungry!

There is always a lot of work to do in organizing such an event, and great praise needs to go out to Dan Pasaric for his tremendous efforts, along with Marijana Sarich, Clara Sipic, Mate Segota, Al Bozulic, and Lillian and Lou Raspolic-Carrara, amongst others. (...and Kay Angelich for once again being first in line at Town Hall to get the beach permit on a cold snowy morning in February!)

A good time was had by all ( well, by almost everyone... except one guy!!)
